Found this cutie in front of the homeless soup kitchen.
Obviously had health issues.
Found out he was hit by a car.
Shot with a pellet gun.
And picked on by all the other feral dogs in the neighborhood.
It did not stop Archie from coming to greet us.
He was dragging his hind quarters.
He had tire marks on his belly and back.
He had bite marks from wounds that never healed.
Fast forward six months and Archie is living his best life.
For someone with such a rough start in life, this does not slow him down at all.
Vet found he was positive for heart worm.
Pellets were logged in his vertebra and could not be removed.
Norman started working with him, strengthening his legs and applying DMSO to try to rejuvenate the nerves in the spine.
He runs and jumps just like other members of the pack.
He seems to have more of an appreciation for being a rescued pup then others we have rescued.
He will always be a “special needs” dog; but that is what Rescue and Rehabilitation Ranch is all about.
